This tour of the Gran Vía aims to show visitors its history and the changes it has undergone over the years, the different architectural styles its buildings present, the century-old establishments that still stand proud on it, institutions of culture and leisure activities and, of course, the renowned figures that made it what it is today. 2010 will commemorate the hundredth anniversary of an avenue whose name - Gran Vía - evokes and reflects like no other the essence and splendour of Madrid's trades, architecture, culture, entertainment and diversity.
