The 10th edition of the Festival Escena Contemporánea that will take place between 19th January and 15th February 2010 in Madrid will have more than 80 shows by 23 experimental theatre, street theatre, dance, performance and sound art companies from all over the world.

This festival is arranged by the Asociación Cultural Escena Contemporánea formed by Teatro Pradillo, Sala Cuarta Pared, ARTEMAD and the Coordinadora Madrileña de Salas, and it is promoted by the Consejería de Cultura y Deporte y Portavocía del Gobierno and the subvention of the Ministerio de Cultura through INAEM.

Theatre, dance, music, circus. The world of performing arts is the star of the new edition of the Festival de Otoño (Autumn Festival), which will be held in Madrid from November 4 to 29. 

This will be the last year the capital celebrates the traditional Festival de Otoño, since from 2010 it will change its season to spring. After 26 years as one of the most important cultural events in Europe, it promises to say goodbye to the fall in style: 35 shows performed by six Spanish companies and troupes from 19 other countries in 11 venues in Madrid and 10 in municipalities of the region.

An exquisite programme to arouse the audience's artistic curiosity. That was the purpose set by the organisers when it started out. This year, between October 13 and November 16, the festival will be staging its 25^th edition. This long-awaited cultural event continues to promote the same objective, and this year with a view to commemorating its special anniversary, it will be presenting 44 shows, 36 of which are from 13 different countries, from Brazil to Japan to the United Kingdom.
